Recruiting Software Helping Keep Up With Our Daily Tasks

By Amanda 30. January 2012

We all know that being in the business world, we are always busy and have so much to do. Sometimes it can be hard to try and keep up with all of the tasks we have to do. So let’s say for example you have a major project due in a couple of weeks and you are in need of a few individuals to help complete the task. To find good candidates for the position can take weeks. Taking the time to post the job opportunity, waiting for resumes to come in, then going through the resumes, and scheduling and sitting down for an interview can be a long daunting process. By the time you find a few people, who are capable of the position, your project is due.

Recruiting software allows major companies to find and hire recruits in a fast and easy manner. The software allows potential job candidates to post their resumes online and from there, a recruiting manager can easily look at them as soon as they come in. Because the software allows you to customize your settings, you can ask the essential questions that you may ask in an interview and the candidates take the time to answer them. Based on that information, managers can determine whether the candidate is qualified enough to do the task. They can then hire them for the time being. Based on their performance, they can determine whether they want to hire the candidate full time. This process helps eliminate the hassle of paper resumes, not knowing if the candidate is qualified enough to do the job, and is a much faster, more efficient experience.

Hiring Managers and How You Can Benefit From Using Recruiting Software

By Amanda 25. January 2012

Finding potential employees and conducting interviews are sometimes a hiring manager’s worst nightmare. You never know if the person coming in is going to be a good fit for the position that you are hiring for or of they are fully qualified to do the work that you need done. Sure you have their resume but how much can you tell about a person just from their resume? Recruiting software allows hiring managers to get a better sense of who they are asking to come into an interview.

Although you are still not getting the “entire package,” this software gives you a better understanding of who the person is. It also allows for managers to filter out who they would like to keep in their pool of applicants by stating what kind of experience and other factors that they are looking for.

In addition, this recruiting software is easily accessible. Unlike a folder full of resumes that can easily get lost or hard to manage and keep track of, Autohire is all done electronically. If you needed to pull up someone’s resume or profile, it can easily be done. The layout of Autohire is designed in a manner that makes it simple for hiring managers to find exactly what they are looking for in a matter of seconds. There is no more looking through a stack of paper resumes to find the one that you are looking for.

Recruiting Software Helping Put Out Good Service

By Amanda 23. January 2012

Service is essential to any type of program. Without it, many customers would be forced to go elsewhere because there is not someone who can effectively help them with any of their troubleshooting needs. With Autohire’s recruiting software, they provide four main services to their customers.

Custom programming is key to any service. The end-user customizable elements of AutoHire help you to control costs, while giving you the flexibility of instant, real-time system changes. With AutoHire, you can customize the content of the career center web pages, system emails, letters, screening questions and job categories. You can also create and modify your own candidate profile/application form, choosing from a wide variety of standard fields or adding custom fields as needed. In addition, there are several other elements of AutoHire that can be customized at no charge upon request.

System integration is another service AutoHire provides. AutoHire is able to interface with various other service providers to automate and simplify the recruiting process. They utilize XML technology to support interoperability with other applications such as HRIS, ERP, background screening and assessment providers. Information provided by the other systems can be linked with candidate records in AutoHire for easy lookup and association.

Finally, training is something else that AutoHire offers. What good is software if you don’t even know how to use it? AutoHire was designed to provide logical workflow and a better user experience throughout the hiring process. The intuitive user interface makes it easy to use and provides a short learning curve. They will assist with system setup and will provide a comprehensive training session via web conference for the main administrators of the system. AutoHire will also provide a condensed training session for additional system users, focusing primarily on the workflow and features they will be using on a day to day basis.

Recruiting Software; A Good Alternative in the Cold

By Amanda 19. January 2012

Now that the weather is in the freezing cold, the majority of us want to stay in as much as possible. However, with this economy, we cannot afford to not go to work. For those of us who are looking for a new job, recent college graduates who are looking to get hired, or whatever the case may be, we sometimes dread the hiring process. Many of us know the feeling of applying to a number of jobs and making the trip out to the interview only to never get a call back. Now, add in snow and cold weather; who wants to go out in those conditions only to be told, “We’ve hired a more qualified candidate. With recruiting software, it makes it easier for applicants to try and find a solid job.

Employers are able to customize their profile when posting a new job position. They can ask specific questions that would normally be addressed in a sit down interview. By doing this, in a sense, both the applicants and employers have gone through the first step of the interview process. Based off the candidate’s answers, the employer can then ask them to come in and possibly offer them the position. Although an applicant may possibly not get the position after coming in, they’re chances are a lot higher because of their answers on the application. Knowing that there is a higher chance of getting the position definitely makes the commute through the cold and snow a lot more worthwhile.

Applicant Tracking Systems Helping Control Workplace Favoritism

By Amanda 10. January 2012

Workplace favoritism is very common in any work environment. Whether you know the boss, have a friend on the inside, or just plain likable, favoritism can take an individual a long way. In a recent study conducted by Georgetown University’s School of Business, they found that who you know in the workplace greatly influences your connections and promotions. Although this may be beneficial for some individuals, not everyone feels that they can benefit from this. In addition, it is important that employers try not to show favoritism as much as they can because that can eventually lead to tension and other unnecessary drama in a work environment.

Applicant tracking systems can help minimize all of the favoritism that takes place in a professional environment. The software allows hiring managers to employ individuals based on their qualifications rather than who they know. Managers are able to customize their hiring profiles and ask specific questions that they feel will allow them to find the best fit for their company. The employer can thus find someone who is going to benefit their company exactly as they need them to and it would help eliminate some of those individuals who only acquire the position because of who they know. Although that may be beneficial sometimes, it also helps that the person knows what they are doing at a job.

Applicant Tracking Software, Helping Make Relationships Work

By Amanda 4. January 2012

Many of us can agree that relationships are hard work. What may be harder than a personal relationship is maintaining a solid relationship at work. Oftentimes, many hiring managers recruit individuals for a position and although they are really good at their job, sometimes personalities may clash and it can then become unbearable to go to work.

Applicant tracking software can help eliminate any tension that may arise due to individuals not being able to get along. Although it is inevitable that some issues may arise, the software can help reduce and possibly eliminate it altogether. Employers are able to personalize their job description profiles and ask certain questions that can determine whether an individual is going to be a good fit for the company.

More than often, when someone comes in for an interview, they are going to say what they think the employer wants to hear. However, by personalizing their profile and asking all of the important questions, employers can get a sense of who the person is and therefore, they can hire them based off of that. Again, although this unfortunately does not eliminate all problems that can occur, it will definitely minimize them.
